Galway Astronomy Club are inviting you to our FREE April meeting which will take place via Zoom on Thursday 14th April at 8pm.
Talk: ‘An Amateur Backyard Astronomy Journey’ by Gordon Barret (Wildwood Astronomy)
Our speaker for our April meeting will be Canadian astrophotographer and amateur astronomer Gordon Barret who will be discussing all things amateur astronomy and also his path to learning how to take astro images.
Gordon is a member of the RASC and a Fellow in the RAS. His main focus in imaging has been deep sky and, in particular, Nebulae. Gordon is a retired officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and is now a Civilian Instructor in the CAF Cadet system where his main teaching is introducing young people to astronomy and promoting STEM educational career opportunities.
