The following clubs are part of the Irish Federation of Astronomical Societies (IFAS) that is an umbrella group comprising most of the National and Regional Astronomical Societies on the Island of Ireland.

IFAS was formed in October 1999 to provide mutual benefit and co-operation for almost all Irish astronomical clubs and  societies on the Island of Ireland, north and south.

Kingsland Observatory MPC J62 is located in Kingsland, County Roscommon and is the largest private observatory in Ireland. It is mainly involved in survey work for Kuiper Belt objects at high latitudes. There are two telescopes available that can be remotely accessed by astronomers a 36-inch (0.9m) Wynne-Newtonian, the largest of its kind in Ireland and a 6-inch (0.4m) Schmidt Cassegrain.
